Although we have switched over from the Julian Calendar to Gregorian Calendar for CHRISTMAS, one important celebration remains and that is Easter. The decision was to go with a hybrid calendar.
Easter (VELYKDEN’) in our church will be
May 5th this year.
Calendar Change
In September the majority of parishioners (53%) voted to follow on the revised Julian calendar
(new calendar Christmas;
old calendarEaster).
The calendar change begins Oct.1.
